Expressing your personality and/or your passions is easy with embroidered patches!

Here’s the best places to attach them:

  1. Your plain shirt that fits just right but needs more pizzazz
  2. Your denim jacket that’s ready for some color
  3. Your jeans that need to look different than the others
  4. Your bag to show the world what you really care about
  5. Your holes that you’d like covered up, beautifully

There are three ways to add individuality to your wardrobe..

The first – is to pick and purchase an embroidered patch from the shop and iron them on. The instructions are easy to follow and can be done in under 10 minutes. Like this Red Bull logo for an F1 shirt

The second way is to send me your garment along with a design and I embroider your design on to your garment and send it back to you, easy peasy!

And lastly, if you sew, you can add embroidery directly to your fabric before making your garment.

If you’re looking for a good base pattern, the Terra Tunic from Love Notions is a great place to start. It’s perfect for adding designs and either elevating your look to more dressy to perfectly casual.

You can get the pattern today for $4.50 if you use my affiliate link and coupon.

The pattern

The Terra Tunic I made was the V-neck version but it has 6 different necklines to choose from. I didn’t make any significant modifications other than fit adjustments. I did do a center back seam to allow adjustment for my sway back.

The fabric

It a heather purple and I honestly don’t remember where I purchased it, it’s been that long.

Embroidery

You can watch me paint “Maa Strong” on this fabric before I make the Terra Tunic here.

I even made two patch design based off the embroidery I did here, so you can have one too!

How to support my work

A lot of time and effort goes into these posts – sewing, filming/editing videos and photos, writing the blogs – and if love the content and find it valuable to your own sewing, you can support me financially in a non-committal manner by purchasing me a ”coffee” through Ko-Fi here.  $3 gets me one cup of “coffee”. Thank you!
